Our PSHE curriculum is tailored for our children to grow into individuals who are confident in understanding themselves, have good awareness of others as well as knowledge of various life skills. At Biscovey Academy and Infants, we have identified areas that can support those living in our local environment, as well as other topics that can support children on a broader scale. This is using a spiral curriculum that children build upon each year.

Our PSHE curriculum branches out into other areas of our school, so children aren’t just developing this in specific lessons. Our weekly DREAMS assemblies supports our building of character education for our pupils and our British Values are regularly discussed. This is to support our pupils’ awareness and understanding of their citizenship.

Our RSE curriculum is tailored for the age of each child and is covered in line with the national curriculum guidelines. Children will be taught content specific to them in order for them to be aware of themselves in addition to understanding what the difference is between acceptable and unacceptable behaviours.
