Welcome back Juniper Class! We hope you had a wonderful half term break and are ready for your final term as Year 3! We have lots of exciting learning in Summer 2- our topic is called 'Here We Grow!' and is full of fascinating knowledge and experiences based around plants.
In VIPERS, we will be reading Lob. We will be looking at vocabulary, making inferences and predictions about the text, retrieving information from our text, summarising and sequencing events and explaining our reasoning.
In English, we will be learning about a range of grammatical features and putting these features into diary entries and an imaginary friend narrative.
In Maths, we will be learning all about statistics and shapes.
In History, we will be learning about how the Celts, the Iron Age rulers of Britain, fought a Roman invasion in history.
In science, we will be learning all about plants! We will explore the different parts of a plant and look at how they grow.
In DT, we will be creating our own cars with a braking system! We will be learning a range of different woodworking skills.
In PSHE, we will be looking at growing and changing.
We will be exploring Hinduism in RE. We will look at Hindu beliefs and celebrations.
P.E Timetable and Kit:
For Juniper Class, P.E will be taking place on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons.
Children should have their PE kit in school throughout the week in case of any timetable changes.
P.E Kit requirements:
-Sky Blue Biscovey Academy t-shirt
-Navy Blue Biscovey Academy hoody
-Black shorts (black tracksuit bottoms can be worn for outside P.E. when the weather is cold)
-Trainers.
