Welcome back Palm Class! We have lots of exciting things planned for Autumn 2.
In VIPERS, we will be reading a range of fairy tales including Hansel and Gretel and Little Red Riding Hood. We will be looking at vocabulary, making inferences and predictions about the text, retrieving information from our text, summarising and sequencing events and explaining our reasoning.
In English, we will be writing cautionary tales, fairy tale narratives and leaflets.
In Maths, we will be continuing our work on addition and subtraction and then move onto multiplication and division.
Our umbrella question for Geography is 'Where am I in the world?' We will be learning about regions in the UK, exploring different cities and learning about different countries in Europe.
Our umbrella question for Science is 'What would happen if we had no skeleton and didn't bother to eat?' We will be learning about the function of the skeleton and muscles, looking at different nutrients in food and what foods we need to eat to stay healthy.
In PSHE, we will be exploring how to keep safe and in Art we will be learning about the work of Jon Tremaine.
Our class book will be 'The Jungle Book' by Rudyard Kipling.
